Summer Sportcoat
A white sportcoat is definitely on my list of things to acquire. Light materials to match the light color make a white sportcoat great for the white hot summers. I like this one by Woolrich John Rich & Bros because the fabric is more casual in its texture and in the way that it drapes. And because it’s partially linen, there is some natural wrinkling. The patch pockets and the contrasting buttons reinforce its casualness but I can still see this being a somewhat versatile garment for the S/S months. Wear it with chambray/madras, some lightweight denim/chinos/shorts from somewhere in the GTH color spectrum, a pair of loafers and you’re good to go.

gdollabangbang asked: Hey man! Sorry for the randomness.but I'm actually considering transferring to UC DAVIS this semester. I just want your perspective on UC Davis. Do you like it? Hate it? I'm applying as Communications major and planning to double major with Sociology-Organizational Studies. Do you know anything about these programs? Thank you! :)
No worries! Not random at all! (also, we’re on the quarter system!)
I LOVE UC DAVIS. There is no way that I would ever trade places to be at another school. I don’t care what people say about it being a “cow town”. It definitely isn’t like that, btw. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again- the friends that I’ve made here have been amazing. There is no way that I would ever be in the place that I am now had I not met these wonderful brothers and sisters. College is what you make of it, and though we’re not in a major metropolitan city and have “less to do,” it’s not about how much stuff there is to do. It’s about the relationships you make. Yeah, yeah, there’s the fact that college prepares you for a career, but there’s also the people. UC Davis is in the top 10 happiest universities in the nation. I would heartily agree!
I am a Communication major (I’m also majoring in Psychology, and Music. Minor in education almost (one class away! darn it!)). CMN is SO FUN. It is very practical and super broad in terms of applications. Sociology is great too. It has a lot of reading and writing, but I’m sure you understand that. You can definitely double in those two majors and I’d encourage it. If you have more specific questions, you can message me here or e-mail me: omgeraldd@gmail.com
Srsly. Although I’m graduating in a month, I’ll be here next year working. If you come to Davis, let’s hit up a burger joint. I’ll treat you for serious.

I was never really fond of the suit jacket + shorts look. This, though…
